    Weddings and Funerals can be difficult life events to plan, let alone trying to figure out music. Oftentimes families would like to have a live musician at their event but don’t know someone personally. I have a large repertoire and years of experience. Hello - I’m Jessica Martens!

My mom started me with piano lessons in first grade, and I loved learning to play! However, just as many kids are, I hated to practice. My mom pushed me to work through it and to this day I give her all the credit for my success in music.

I have played piano for 22 years. I was in lessons for 11 years, at which point I started teaching students. I’ve taught many kids, all with unique gifts, talents, and abilities.

My music skills were developed over time with opportunities to play piano and guitar for worship, weddings, and funerals and reinforced over my years of teaching.

If your student is between the ages of 4-7 and this is their very first time being exposed to piano or music in general, these are the books you will want to select!

Primer Level Books

For students who are 8 years old + these are likely the books you will want to select. These will keep your child engaged and challenged especially if they have just a little exposure to music.

Level One Books

Accelerated Beginner

These are great books for the adolescent that has some musical background but not necessarily in piano. This will keep them engaged and challenged while not missing out on the important basics of piano!
