A New Chapter at The Studio: Our Remodel Is Underway
If you’ve been into The Studio lately, you may have heard us hinting that some changes are coming — and we’re finally ready to share a little more!
The Studio on Main St. is getting a refresh!
Over the next several months, we’ll be making some changes throughout our space. Some will be simple updates, others may change how we use certain areas altogether, but all of them have the same goal: making The Studio work better for us and feel even better for you.
And because we’re still very much in the dreaming-and-planning stage, we thought it would be fun to bring you along!
Why Remodel?
The Studio has changed a lot since we first opened our doors.
As our businesses have grown, we’ve learned more about how we actually use our building, what our clients enjoy most, and which spaces could be working a little harder for us.
Rather than remodeling just for the sake of making things look new, we’re asking ourselves:
How can we make this space work better?
How can we create a space that feels welcoming, comfortable and polished, while still feeling like the small-town Studio our clients know and love?
That question has led to a LOT of ideas.
Some great ones.
Some that lasted approximately 15 minutes.
And probably a few more that will change before we're done.

Here's What We're Dreaming About
Right now, we're playing with ideas for several different areas throughout The Studio — from our salon and spa spaces to our waiting areas, storage, flooring, finishes and even the front of the building.
We've been creating preliminary mockups to help us visualize what some of those ideas could look like.
And we want to emphasize could.
These aren't blueprints. They aren't final designs. And if you come back to this blog post six months from now, there's a very good chance we'll have changed our minds about something!
But that's part of the fun.

A Smaller, More Curated Gift Shop
One area we're rethinking is our gift boutique.
We're not saying goodbye to it completely, but we are considering downsizing and being much more intentional about what we carry.
We love having those little things you can grab on your way out — a card when you suddenly remember someone's birthday, a cute plant, or a simple gift you don't have to drive 20 minutes to find.
So while the large gift boutique may look different in the future, we'd still love to keep a small, curated collection of cards, plants and easy-to-gift items.
And that opens up some new possibilities for how we use the rest of that space.
Nothing Is Set in Stone
Probably the most important thing to know about all of the photos and renderings we're sharing is that they're ideas.
We're trying different layouts. Moving things around. Imagining different uses for rooms. Looking at colors, furniture, finishes and ways to make each square foot of our building more useful.
Some of these ideas may make it into the finished Studio almost exactly as pictured.
Others might not make it past this blog post.
We're okay with that!
We'd rather take our time, live with different ideas and make thoughtful decisions than rush through the process just to have it finished.

The Goal Hasn't Changed
Whatever the finished Studio ends up looking like, the heart behind it isn't changing.
We want The Studio to be a place where you feel comfortable walking through the door. Where you're known by name. Where you can slow down for a little while, enjoy your appointment and know that you're going to be well cared for.
We're simply finding ways to make the space around that experience even better.
So over the next several months, don't be surprised if things move around, walls change, furniture disappears, new things show up, or you hear us say, "Okay...we have another idea."
Because we probably do.
We're excited to bring you along for the process — messy middle, changing plans and all.
The Studio is growing into its next chapter, and we can't wait to see where it takes us.
